Dr. Vishnu Unnithan is one of the leading Orthopedic Surgeons practicing in Thiruvananthapuram, boasting of several Fellowships and experience garnered internationally as well as in India.

He completed his MBBS from Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi.

After working as a Casualty Medical Officer at multiple centers in Kerala after his MBBS, he joined as a Lecturer in the Dept. of NeuroMedicine at Govt. Medical College Thrissur.

Then he underwent his Post Graduate Diploma training in Orthopedics at Government Medical College, Bellary, Karnataka(VIMS). On completion of his training, he worked as a Consultant in Orthopedics at NG hospital, Coimbatore for an year.

Later he underwent PG residency at KIMS, Trivandrum and secured his DNB Post Graduate degree in Orthopedics from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

Soon after completing his Post Graduate DNB Degree, he joined as a Junior Consultant in Orthopedics at Cosmopolitan Hospital, Trivandrum; where he was later promoted as a Consultant.

He had his Inland Observership Training in Arthroscopy and Knee Injuries in Pune at Oyster and Pearl Hospital and later in Shoulder and Elbow at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (DMH).

Later he underwent his Fellowship Training in Shoulder and Sports Injuries at DMH, Pune.After his Inland Observerships and Fellowship trainings at Pune, he worked as a Lecturer in the Shoulder and Sports Injury Department at DMH Hospital Pune for an year.

Dr. Vishnu Unnithan was selected for the prestigious Prince of Wales and Concord Repartition Hospital Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow at Sydney, Australia. This was a Royal College of Surgeons of Australia and Australian Orthopedic Association recognized fellowship training at multiple centers including two Public Teaching Hospitals inside Sydney. He was there in Australia for almost 2 years undergoing the fellowship training as well as working as a VMO at multiple hospitals.

On Completion of his Overseas Fellowship training and after working at major centers in Sydney - both in Government and Private sectors; in the field of Arthroscopy, Shoulder-Elbow and Sports Injuries, Dr. Vishnu Unnithan returned to India and joined as a Consultant in Orthopedics, Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries at leading Private Hospitals in an around Trivandrum.

After returning to India, he dedicated his professional life taking care of sports injuries especially that of the knee, shoulder and elbow. With his healing touch, expert hands and skill that have been honed by years of experience, Dr. Vishnu now conducts specialty outpatient clinic. Top quality patient care including Surgery and the improvement it brings to his patients has always fascinated him. Dr. Vishnu routinely performs complex surgeries and operates at various hospitals.
